What are we, and what are we about?
We are the American Legion Riders group, located in North Pole, Alaska. We are sponsored by American Legion Post 30 in North Pole. Our group is decicated to promoting the values of the American Legion, except we prefer to do it on our motorcycles!
As of right now, the group is just getting off the ground. On Monday, March 20, 2006, we had enough interested people wanting to form this group, so we went to the Legion membership and asked them to sponsor us. They agreed, so now the work really begins!
What are we about?
Our group is formed based on the guidlines set forth in the American Legion riders national group Our goal is to raise monies for charities, both local and national, and to promote safe motorcycle riding in Alaska.
Our first meeting is scheduled for April 2, 2006, at 4 pm. It will be held at the Legion, and will consist of passing our by-laws and signing up membership. We will also be holding election of officers (someone has to do the political stuff!). We hope to see you there!
